The 2013 Cricket League organised by the Kurunegala Branch of the
Java Institute for Advanced Technology was the result of a suggestion by the Kurunegala Branch Manager.
The idea behind this sporting event was to break the monotonous pattern of operations in the Institute
and instil a sense of enlivenment among the students. The event was held on the 10th of December 2013
at the Maligha Grounds. It commenced at 8:00 a.m. and went on until 6:00 p.m. in the evening.

contributed immensely in a beneficial manner to the event. A total of nine cricket teams were formed
and each of these teams had eight members, out of which only seven were allowed on the field at a time.
